XactCopy Product Introduction

Nevada City, CA - The XactCopy Backup and Restore Strategy is the next generation in Data Protection software designed to prevent the loss of important data in small computer applications.

Similar to the mirroring concepts found in larger systems, XactCopy maintains an exact copy of the system disks on separate backup disks. To preserve the integrity of the backup data the backup disks are not available to the operating system. In the event of a disk crash, the backup drive is on-line within minutes.

While recovery from hard disk crashes is XactCopy's primary purpose, provisions are made for the restoration of partitions, folders and individual files.

The selected disks or partitions may be backed up manually or automatically according to the user's preference.

The typical time to backup 1000 megabytes of data is less than 30 seconds.

According to DISK/TREND, the price of a 10 gigabyte hard disk will be $200.00 in the year 2000. With the price of a 2 gigabyte hard disk at less than $170.00 today, the XactCopy concept is very price competitive and does not have the attendant problems associated with tape, removable cartridges and floppies.

XactCopy is available for Windows 3.1, Windows 95 and Windows NT operating systems. File systems supported are FAT16, FAT32 and NTFS.

A complete description and demonstration of XactCopy may be found at: http://www.duocor.com

Complementary copies of XactCopy are available to qualified journalists.
